Welcome to the Toy Library @ The Chantry Centre
The Toy Library provides parents, grandparents, childminders and playgroups/toddlers groups with over 550 toys available to borrow on a two week basis.WHAT IS THE TOY LIBRARY?
A toy library is a way of borrowing carefully selected, safe and educational toys for your child to take home to play with. Good quality toys are expensive and the toy library is a great way for you and your child to enjoy different toys without having to buy them all.WHAT WE DO
The Toy Library provides good quality, stimulating toys for children from birth to 5 years, although children who have special needs are able to use this facility for as long as they need it. We have over 550 toys in our catalogue for you to choose from.WHERE TO FIND US
The Toy Library is open at The Chantry Centre
most Thursday mornings, 10.00am - 11.30am during term time. Check the Location/Opening Hours
page to see the Centre on Google Maps. Occasionally we have to miss a week if another group is using the main hall like DODS. The Location/Opening Hours page shows you which dates we're open.
You can register your membership online but you will need to bring proof of your address along to one of our sessions in order to complete your registration and begin to use the service. Once registered, you can use our online system to reserve toys, check due dates, etc.TO FIND OUT MORE
You can use the menu (left) to view our Membership options and Terms & Conditions of Membership.
The bottom half of the menu (left) allows you to browse our catalogue. You do not have to be a member to see the toys we have on offer. Choose a category and take a look!
Or you can drop into one of our sessions where we'd be delighted to show you how the system works.
SOFT PLAY AT THE CHANTRY CENTRE
During the winter months, the Chantry Centre has a soft play session that runs alongside the Toy Library in the main hall. Dates for the soft play can be found on the Chantry Centre website and Facebook page.
